AOC Vacqueyras: "La Ballade des Anglès"

  • The vineyards are situated on a chalky soil from the picturesque massif of the "Dentelles de Montmirail". The Grenache and the shiraz raised on this soil give the typical touch of the appellation and mainly a freshness from the chalk. The production do not exceed 35hl/ha.
  • The various grapes are vinified altogether in thermo regulated vats. The fermentation lasts 3 weeks with at least 4 mixes per day. Then, the wine is raised in rustproof vats during a year before bottling.
  • It smells and tastes elegant aromas of black fruit and spices. After the aromas, the finishing is long. The wine is well- balanced and extremely fine. It suits well with strong tasted-meal, and big game, as well as powerful cheese. It's ideal with winter cooking and feast dishes.

Ageing: 12 years

AOC Côtes-du-Rhône: "Cuvée de Voulongue"

  • Our special reserve " Cuvée de Voulongue " started in 2000. It will be made only in the best years when the phenol potential of the grenache is at its best level. It is a selection of 50-years-old Grenache vine, cultivated on a rolled pebbles soil. The production does not exceed 40 hl/ha.
  • The cuvee is vinified into thermo regulated open vats, so that to allow the traditional mix with feet as well current mix. Then the colour and the tannins are intensely liberated. The wine is raised into vats for a year before being poured into bottles.
  • The colour is extremely intense. When sniffing, the powerfull and very expressive aromas of black berries are followed by a hint of pepper. When tasting, the aromas remains powerful and the tannins are very silky. It is a very ample and expressive wine. It is ideal for marinated meat, truffle omelette and game. It suits well with cheese.

Ageing: 10 years

AOC White Côtes-du-Rhône

  • The regional white Côtes du Rhône results from a poor, light, filtering and hot soil. The viognier is a variety of wine which finds in this soil all its southern white wine qualities. The freshness of this wine comes from the rolled pebbles. The production is about 40 hl/ha.
  • Just after the harvest, the grapes are picked off and cooled before going into vats. Only 10% of the volume is turned into wine in hogshead so that to bring up structure rather than wood taste.
  • Viognier makes wine full of aromas. The smelling is powerful. When tasting, you feel the freshness and aromas of citrus fruit that all together offer an elegant touch to the wine. You can drink it from the beginning to the end of the meal thus it goes on well with very different dishes: foie gras, poultry, seafood and cheese.

AOC Red Côtes-du-Rhône Village

  • Our Red Côtes du Rhône Village grapes mainly comes from a classified soil with rolled pebbles. This wine is made with a blend of several varieties, among which dominates the shiraz. The production does not exceed 45hl/ha.
  • The grapes are picked off, then put into thermo regulated vats and vinified. Each variety is separated from the others. Every day, the temperature is controlled and the vats contents are mixed. Then only , the various grapes are blended. The wine is raised into vats during one year, then put into bottles.
  • With the shiraz dominating, the wine smells very fruity. When tasting, one can find fruity aromas with pepper hint and silky tannins. The ending is quite long. This smart wine will suit well with Mediterranean dish and small game. It is fine enough to match with meat cooking and the pepper hint will underline meat with salsa. The matching with cheese is nice.

AOC Red Côtes-du-Rhône

  • The typical Côtes-du-Rhône wine is a blend of 4 varieties: grenache (50%), shiraz (30%), mourvèdre (15%) et cinsault (5%). As they rise on the typical Côtes-du-Rhône rolled pebbles situated on a table-land, the vines can give their best. The Shiraz vines are situated on a clayey and chalky soil that rather suits to their raising. The production is between 40 and 45hl/ha, according to the variety of vines.
  • The grapes are picked off, then put into thermo regulated vats and vinified. Each variety is separated from the others. Every day, the temperature is controlled and the vats contents are mixed. Then only , the various grapes are blended. The wine is raised into vats during one year, then put into bottles.
  • The colour is intense garnet. When sniffing, it offers aromas of black berries. When tasting, one can find black fruit aromas with spices. The tannins are pleasant. This wine can be drunk now, because it is a fruity and slightly tanned wine. It suits well with red meat and poultry, with every day dish and with cheese.
AOC Côtes-du-Rhône Rosé
  • Mourvèdre is a variety of wine resulting from a stony soil on a hill exposed to west. The soil adds a mineral touch to this very expressive variety of grape. The production is about 45 hl/ha.
  • Rosé wine is obtained by bleeding. It is vinified at a temperature ranging between 15°C and 18°C in a stainless thermo regulated vat. The raising is done in the vat until February. Then the setting into the bottle will take place.
  • The raspberry colour is underlined by the variety of the different coloured-taps (12 different ones). Thus, it is a very pleasant product to show. The Mourvèdre gives to the rosé untypical aromas that can be found by sniffing as well as tasting. It can be classified among the wines for meal. The wine goes on well with summer meal such as grilled meat and fish as well as composed salad.
